Essex Porsche Inspections

Ive put a deposit down on a 996 today subject to inspection, and i think the car is outside of the normal area Anthony from Porsche Inspections works.

Ive seen Essex Porsche Inspections, and was wondering if anyone had used them and had any feedback re them.

Alternatively, does anyone know who could do a PPI for me that would include the boroscope check?

HP Porsche in Hainault will do this for about £100 I think. Great bunch of guys, used them a lot when I had my 996.

Essex Porsche Inspections saved me from buying an old air cooled 911 disguising crash damage. The report Gary provided me post inspection was also top notch.

That being said ... I’m not sure if he can check the bores on the side of the road?

When I purchased a 996 a few years ago, I had the borescope done at Porsche Tech in North London run by Andy. I also rate him v highly.

Nope they (nor Porsche Inspections) do a borescope check as part of their work, and the seller doesnt have time to take the car to a dealer - though i might speak to him about that and see what we can do there.

Have Essex Porsche Inspections signed up to give the car a checkover though next week.

HP did a borescope on my 996 two years ago which led to me getting a rebuild, so they certainly could do it and they still advertise on their website @ £127 + VAT:

I also have a 996, been off the road for a year and needs service, battery and light bodywork. Any opinion on Porche Tech (Finchley) or Porscheworx (Belsize Park) as I live in between these 2 places
I previously used John at Tower Bridge but since moved a bit further out.

Usually for all my porsche work i just go to Northway to have it done.

Its miles from me, but the service is so good that for me its worth the drive.

I tried them as per recommendations.
Unfortunately they must've had an "off" week.
Will go to Loe Bank next time.
