Cleaning a Thetford Toilet
Discussion
Not the inside of the cassette
It seems the full light isn't working and consequently, the toilet was overfilled. The only solution was to pull the cassette and clean up using paper towels as best we could onsite.
Now back at home, what can I use to clean the inside of the cassette locker? Theres a long list of chemicals you can't get near a Thetford so any advice? Can I just detergent, brush and rinse with a hose?

Ah! Yes, I have cassette cleaner for that (plus we purchased the refresh kit when we bought it last year).
My question is how do I clean the inside of the cassette locker. It was flooded with piss when I had to pull the over filled cassette, now back at home, I was to disinfect and clean it.

Might be worth leaving one of those moisture collector things in the cavity and closing the door up for a few days. Would stop any damp smells.
Or leave a halved onion in there! Weird old wives tale, but actually works. The onion attracts nasties in the air and will kill off most smells. It’ll obviously replace them with the smell of onion, but that’ll dissipate after a few days too!
