Hello
I am new here and this is my first post,
I currently have a 118d BMW which is 6 yrs old and 90k miles it has given really good service over the last 3 years and i really like it, and enjoy driving it.
The wife has a Kia Sorento which is old but less than 60k on the clock, its her run around and horse box tow car.
I am thinking that i should upgrade the 1 series and have found a year old X2 at the local dealer at big saving over new price.
I know very little about the X2 and havent even seen one in the flesh yet, but it appears it would be suitable for horse box duty if needed, and be a slightly larger family car than the 1 series is therefore taking miles off the Kia
Does anyone have any experience of an X2 good or bad

I had an F20 1 series a few years ago. Yesterday my uncle turned up to a family gathering in a new X2. I've not driven it but it didn't look a great deal bigger than the 1 series. It will obviously have better rear legroom and a larger boot than the 1er, but compared to the Sorrento I can imagine it would be a LOT smaller.

The boots and rear leg room are near same as the 1 series
Not really; the boot size between 1 Series, X2 and X1 vary quite significantly. 1 series has 360 litres, x2 has 470 litres and current x1 has 505litres (which is actually bigger than the f31 3 series tourer). Rear passenger space does vary a bit due to the different shape too. I’d certainly go for an x1 over an x2 personally though, but each to their own.
