I currently have a 2014 Seat Ibiza 1.4 (not a FR) which has only done 35k miles. Its cheap to run but that's about it. I'm wanting something a more fun but isn't going to break the bank. I would like cruise control and 30+mpg as I do the odd 500 mile round trip every month. I'm looking to spend at most £6000 and needs to be a hatchback (I could be convinced for an estate).

Cars I have considered are; a pre 2010 Suzuki Swift and a post 2011 Suzuki swift, DS3 1.6T 150hp (kind off want to stay away from them after hearing horror stories though), Vauxhall Corsa VXR (stretching my budget for a decent one and the stereotype that comes with them) or a Honda Civic Type R EP3.

Any other cars worth looking at? Would I be stupid to trade my car for a higher millage and older car?
