Hi,

I’ve bought a few new Porsche’s from my local Porsche Dealership over the last few years.

I’ve recently stepped into the classic Porsche scene and bought a 1986 3.2 Carrera, which I must say puts a bigger smile on my face compared to any of the newer stuff... each to their own.

Who do you think would be the best suited to service a 33 year old car, Porsche or a Porsche Specialist who works solely on classic Porsche’s.

I know Porsche will have the added benefit of stamps from Porsche, but do Porsche themselves still service such cars? I have a feeling that their mechanics are probably all trained for the newer stuff, but I could be completely wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Not all but many OPC have a Porsche Classic facility. It's worth a look and a price comparison

Specialist - no question! They have more experience than the OPC’s and have a completely different customer attitude. They demonstrate an understanding of the car and a shared a passion for you that you will rarely experience at the OPC

But they are not very complicated cars, so anyone half capable can service them surely?
