Hi, Have a look at this vid from Rokoat of a standing knife stabbing a car bonnet and not scratching it with rokoat coating.

I know protective coatings have come a long way but I have not seen any car detailers promoting it. I can't believe its all win-win. What's the downside? Lower gloss, discoloration, anything? Any car detailers can give me a technical answer, I'm interested to know.

The blade is retracted in that video.
It's a test of sickness rather than it being indestructible.

Most higher end coatings will do the same.

lol, well spotted. I have GTechniq crystal serum on my cars. Works a treat, does the job.

Crystal Serum is a great coating. I look after a couple of car with it on and they're always perfect after a wash.
EXO over the top really improves the beading and dust repellency.
