Does Amazon co-mingle marketplace fulfilled by Amazon stock with their own sourced items?

Amazon EU S.a.r.L is Amazon themselves. Did it take an extra day or two for delivery? I’ve had this in the past on items sold by Amazon but dispatched from a warehouse on the continent rather than the UK. It means they put it through their European books rather than Amazon UK.

Would you not contact the manufacturer and ask them if it's fake?
