So it’s a particular Postie that is at fault? Ie: reading the address wrongly?

We had this for a few months, the old guy doing our round was going a bit ‘radio rental’... now we never seem to get the same post person doing the round from one day to the next. Far less errors though.

Have a different postie every day of the week these days. I think they’re all temps, it’s not like the old days.

Had an issue with our postman, we had a postbox at the foot of the driveway that the previous owner had installed. It wasn't waterproof, so if the letters were in there and it rained it all got soggy. I asked the one postman I saw to just put them in the door and he said no problem and that he would tell the other guys on the route the same thing. That never happened.

So I put some gaffer tape on the opening so you couldn't put it in. Came back the one day to find that the post had just been forced through the tape. I had to resort to just ripping out the postbox altogether. Since then the post has managed to find its way to the front door!

But then, while this was going on, we were getting post for our neighbour who lives about 20 seconds walk up the road. All the bloody time! I think I sent 8 complaints about this and so far this year we haven't had the same issue. The problem I think was, as another poster mentioned, these people are just temps or just can't be bothered with their job. We're right at the end of their walk, so it was just easier to dump it at our house and have us deliver it to the neighbour (who, by the way, wasn't helpeful and a total ahole).
