Hi folks

I recently got a new holder for my phone and it works brilliantly so thought I would share it in case anyone else has struggled to find somewhere to mount their phone in the cerb.

In the past I’ve struggled to fit a phone in a convenient location because:

- a sucker uses up too much precious screen real estate, unless mounted high up, but:

- having the phone near the rollbar is too close for me to see these days without reading glasses nerd

- the rest of the dash is too curvy and being leather(ish) combined with acceleration forces, sticky pad solutions don’t work.

- there are no slatted air vents

- having it in the cubby hole takes my eyes off the road too much

I attach this one to the lip above the stereo which puts it in a very convenient spot. There is just enough of a lip for it to hold onto. It could also probably grab the big upper lip that spans the whole dash. It will also grab the rollbar, if mounted upside down, on the mk II models (with the small rollbar/Tuscan seats) if your eyesight is better than mine smile

Finally, you could mount it above the instrument binnacle but it might block your view somewhat.

That's a nice solution, and temporary too so no holes in the trim. I've seen ones that sit in the CD slot that look OK too.

CD slot?

What sort of advanced model Cerbera do you have!!

One for a tape cassette might work...

Mine's a 1998 Cerbera. Pioneer radio / CD player, same as from new I thought.

I had a 2005 Nissan 350Z 12 months ago that had a 6 disc CD changer AND a tape deck!

Ooh! Might have to try this. Bored now of my phone flying out of the centre recess and ending up in the drivers footwell!

Mines a 2004, tape only as far as I can tell. Never been bothered to look too carefully as it never gets used!

I tend to put the sat nav in the cubby hole, it's easier to see down there where it's not got bright light on the screen, doesn't take over any of the tiny windscreen space etc.

Thank you for sharing - I have been using a suction mount somewhat unsuccessfully (lost track of how many times it has come un-stuck which is not the safest when driving). Quite cheap really so I'll probably get one.

One question - any damage to the leather/vinyl? (I recall that the upper part of the dash this would fix onto is vinyl made to imitate the leather on the lower part if memory serves...).

Ta!

I’ve only just got it and not taken it off to check for damage yet, but I doubt it would make a permanent mark.
