I'm a mere 6 days away from picking up my 111R (so yes, the bad dreams have started such as turning up to find they've ordered the wrong car, never getting to the garage on the right day etc). I enquired about having a stage 1 exhaust fitted when I take it in for its first service and was quoted £650 fitted. Is this reasonable / great / rip-off?
Seems steep to me. I tought the Stage 1 and 2 were about £450.
Looks like they might be charging you a fair whack of labour.
Collected mine yesterday - thought the standard exhaust sounded ok. I think I'd read so many negatives that I expected it to sound like my 1.6 Scenic but was happy enough... Having said that, I have been driving the Scenic so it's not exactly a great benchmark!
James here; Stage 1 exhaust is about £275 plus fitting. If you are having a service done they shouldn't charge much extra. It cost me £30 fitting at a main dealer.
I would suggest they are taking the micky. Stage 2s are £100 more and some of the undertray needs to be cut away.
Took my Exige in for a 1000 mile service and got the stage 1 fitted at the same time. Exhaust was £370 fitted (inc. vat).
The stage 1 sounds much better than the standard.
