Audi A3 - Limp mode, coil light and DPF light on.
Discussion
Hi all,
I have a 2009 Audi A3, 1.9 TDI,100,000 miles on the clock. After coming on a few times before, over a period of 8 months the DPF is back. It normally comes on and clears after a good run, however this time it will not clear as the car is in limp mode. The coil light is flashing, DPF light is on and the Engine Management Light is on. I am looking for the best solution to fix the car. Worst part is I was due to PX it this weekend for a petrol car. (I live in London). The only code that is currently on is P2002 -DFP Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1. I took the car for a 5 hour drive from The north to the south and it did not regenerate itself. I am guessing this is as the coil light is on?
I bought a new Exhaust Pressure Sensor and fitted it as many advise but wasnt able to calibrate it as I do not have the VCDS software, and the lights are still on. Can anybody advise what I could do as every garage I speak to suggest something new. Some garages say I need a new DPF, some say forced re-gen will fix it, some say they can't force re-gen from limp mode and some say they can clean the DPF without removing it by adding some solution directly into the DPF?!
Does anybody have any knowledge with this kind of thing / can PLEASE advise on what is best as I don't want to waste lots of money I do not have.
Thanks in advance.
