Egr blank 123d do you actually have to code it out?

hi guys,

I blanked my egr on my 123d recently as I was intending to get it coded out this week.

Unfortunately the chap who was going to code it out is having issues with the software and it not being compatible with my software version on the car.

What im wondering is do you have to have it coded out? Ie is it more than just a eml light?

Rumor has it that the dpf can't / won't regen if it's manually blanked and not coded out of the software is this true?

Or can i just blank it and egnor the eml light

Rumor is correct in this case, EGR issues will stop the DPF regen' from happening. Coding it out isn't going to help other than turning off the warning that you're blocking your DPF.
