I looked around but no one seems to have created anything on this.

Do your metal grille have developed a white patina? It's especially noticeable on darker grilles. Any idea of a product that will take away the patina?

Here is mine, especially noticeable on the outer sides.

No, not seen one that bad before. Is that the painted grille? (versus bright finish)

The painted grille on my 2012 Roadster still looks like new (with a few stone chips) I just wash and dry it as normal when I wash the car. No special treatment, unlike the bright finish grille I had on the previous Vantage which I used to use metal polish on once per year.

Have you had the car from new ? ....just wondering if someone could have cleaned it with something they should not have used or left something on it that could have stained it.

Looks like calcium water marks from cold water rinsing. I also use Autosol Metal Polish on mine when this happens.

Get some Plastikote and respray it black. Easy to peel off if you don't like it smile

Hi Tim,

Loving the black grille, it really sets the front end off in a menacing yet subtle manner.

Hope your well, give my love to Georgie............thumbup

OP, I agree with V12VMan that it looks very much like calcium water marks from rinsing but follow any of the advice given so far and you'll
find yourself with a much better finish.

Hi Ed, glad you like the grille - I've done the side and bonnet vent grilles too just for completeness - looks good against the Mako.
I'm good at the moment thanks, G and I send love to you and Eleanor smile

Thanks guys. I had the car since Monday, so no idea what happened. I believe it's painted black, part of the N420 pack,

I tried to clean it with some rubber cleaner I had laying around (to remove tire from paintwork after a track day). It looked like clean, but when it dried up, the white came back.

I'll try first with the metal polish solution.

Cover it with black (or whatever) vinyl wrap; it is reversible, of course.

Been playing around with different products on mine. Looks similar to yours, not painted and probably once was bright.
Various polishes have helped...autosol or even G3.
Last weekend I put a ceramic coat on 2 strips and they looked much more even after drying.
I'll see again after the next wash.

It's water marking. I have the same problem. Comes off easily with some Autoglym Super Resin Polish. You can then use some Silica Spray (Quick detailer stuff) to stop it coming back so easily.

Chris.
