Measured my valve clearances and didn't know what the tolerance is, I assume 1 thou? Or good to keep going on numbers below.

The book values are 8/10 thou however I've heard 10/12 advocated before. Someone more knowledgeable than me will need to explain the advantages of each setup. It looks like yours has previously been set to 10/12 thou. As you've got this far you might as well sort them. A flat surface and 1200 grot wet and dry should sort it all. Be sure to measure the shim thickness when you remove them and compare to the minimum shim thickness available from TVR Parts as a guide to how much life is left in your heads.

Shims are available from 1.47 to 3.0 mm in 0.05mm increments (so 58 thou to 118, in 2 thou increments)
