Pot hole - wheel destroyed
Discussion
I have written off one of my alloys on a pot hole.
Very annoying, but I need to find a replacement and I don’t want to pay an extortionate price for a new one from the dealer.
It’s a 21” Cayenne 957 Sport Design, as fitted to the first GTS models. Part 7L5601025T.
I tried 9apart and Douglas, no luck.
Anyone any suggestions where I can source a used, original replacement?
I will have refurbished so ok if it’s a bit tired.

Most of our roads are now 'third world' and our politicians don't care because they don't see it as a vote winner - there's no effective lobby. They would rather spend the money on HS2 and smart motorways.
And, having an SUV doesn't help - I know owners of a Cayenne and a Macan who have wrecked three wheels and tyres between them (albeit the silly 21"s) on main road potholes - £9,000 worth of wheel/tyre and suspension damage in total - and Local Authorities don't want to know. So, insurance claims.
But, even if you don't wreck a wheel, the hidden cumulative wear and tear and damage to our cars is relentless.

Where I live it's so bad it very much puts you off even wanting to buy a new car. We've buggered several very expensive wheels and tyres. And wasn't immediately apparent. Boils my piss. And the irony being when they did make crappy running repairs they left a massive chisel in the road which found its way into the side wall of a 6 week old tyre. Previous car was only a year old and suspension components failed. Luckily the dealer just replaced them under warranty-he said 'do you drive on badly potholed road...err noAnd, having an SUV doesn't help - I know owners of a Cayenne and a Macan who have wrecked three wheels and tyres between them (albeit the silly 21"s) on main road potholes - £9,000 worth of wheel/tyre and suspension damage in total - and Local Authorities don't want to know. Moneyclaimonline is the small claims court website. Give council 14 days to pay or you'll issue proceedings on a specific date.
Used this numerous times. Took NPower to court twice and won. They didn't pay so bailiff went in and threatened to seize a pylon. Then they paid. 2nd time they paid but not court costs. Sent bailiff in again to recover court costs of £35. Principle.

Also, better chance of payout if hole reported previously. Even if you are unsucessful you may help someone else / get it filled.
As I understand it, they have to know about the pothole and failed to repair it within their published policy (or reasonable time, to avoid them saying they'll repair it in the next millennium
). So as you say best case they pay out, worst case it helps someone in the future and/or they repair it.
It used to be a lot easier, but I believe many councils have started to drag their feet. To be fair I think some were pretty lax when the money was flowing. I put in a £500 claim for a Gallardo Alloy 15 years ago and they paid out with sod all due diligence :/
Unfortunately, if Local Authorities are having to pay damage claims, it is taking that money away from other essential services - so everyone is losing out.
Central Government have under-invested for years, it will now take a monumental effort and cost to repair all our roads properly. Mind you, we will have that £350,000,000 a week to play with once we leave the EU

My £2,000+ per annum council tax tells me they can afford it!Sack a few lazy couldn't care less staff and maybe their productivity would increase? On no... that would mean sacking them all!

Anyway back to wheels and potholes.
Is every thread on here now a Brexit thread? That said, I’m no fan of the SNP.
