After something that I can play Spotify through

Nothing to big. It’s for a small conservatory & garden use

Battery operated as well as mains would be preferable

£200 Apox

Been looking at theses

B&O Beoplay A1.

Can usually get one for around £150, the sound is awesome and they are also dirt and light shower proof.

These Bose Soundlinks are impressive for the size and within budget.

The jbl charge and xtreme models are very popular at work, dozens of people have them and they can be daisy chained creating a semi night club experience in the middle of a factory.

They are exceptionally loud with good sound quality an a healthy amount of bass.

The Bose sound link2 is a very good shout to.

The Cambridge Audio YOYO would be worth considering (What HiFi gave it 5 stars).

I've had the older version (GO V2) for nearly 3 years now and it's been brilliant - would thoroughly recommend.

Harman Kardon Go+ Play, sounds better than every other speaker at its (£150 odd) price point, check youtube reviews, solid impressive bass and clarity.

Avoid these rubberised fashion speakers and xxxxxxxtreeeeemmmmeee speakers as they either sound ridiculously muddy or tinny as hell.

edit: the audio pro range is also great

These are great, so much sound (and weight) from a box so small.

I have the JBL charge, great sound and as above can be linked with other speakers, you can charge your phone while playing music and it’s water proof so when you kids drops it in a swimming pool no worries biggrin

And another. I got one in the U.S. a few years back. Perfect for the garden but I use it in the bedroom on a lazy Saturday. plenty of punch, bass and clarity from such a small box.

I've not heard the HK so it would be good to hear how you thought they compared.

The HK Go play will blow the Bose out of the water in most respects, but v different i suppose in terms of what they are designed for.

Audioengine B2- currently down to £180 on Amazon.
Very highly reviewed and beautifully made- if a little more sensitive to poor quality audio than most on the market (though IMO if you put garbage in, you should expect garbage out).

I had a listen to the Audio Pro ADDON T3. Very clear sound but did lack a little bass.

Tried the jbl xtreme as well. Sounded pretty good but it will look out of place in my house.

Hopefully try a few more before deciding

I bought the T3 today, it's a lovely little sound box @ £99.00 in Currys.

What's not to like .
