Rubber seal between door and windows
Discussion
Mine has managed to work loose. The exact bit I am talking about is the bit of flexible rubber that holds the glass in place at the back end of the door and goes onto the chrome bit. It looks like it was stuck using TVR mastic, does that sound right? Anyone tried to repair it themselves, if so with what?

Mine went too, had it replaced when I had the front end respray, only for the dealer the following week to rip it off again at the end

, it seems to be a common problem, I noticed a Tam with the same prob last week,Chris you are dealing with someone who used to make his windows on his airfix go white! Product name, product make and clear instructions are required! I did search loctite's site and it suggested clear silicon sealant. But I am completly paranoid when it comes to gluing things!
If I use contact adhesive how quick till it dries?

LOL, understood, I'm sure others will tell you to use something else that is better, but I can only go on what I have tried. Contact glue is a rubbery substance, you apply an equal amount to both surfaces of the parts that will be glued together; once stuck together, the bond is quite strong, I have used it for both fixing a floppy edge of boot carpet back in place, and fixing my rubber window strip back where it belongs.
There are quite a few makes, but its usually called contact or impact adhesive.

Interesting details chaps. I have a similar niggle in that when I move the roof in or out of the boot the fit is so tight it peels the rubber on the roof off a bit. Then I get a gap between the top rear of the door window and the roof. Any ideas? Maybe there's a knack at getting the roof in the boot that I need?

LOL, I have the exact same prob, which I fixed with Evo-Stick contact glue, the strip has stayed in place now for the last few months.
I keep meaning to buy the panel bag, but the weather's always so crappy I never get round to justifying the £50 for it!
Chaps,
I had the same problem with the seals on the roof. Bought a bag for it from Leven tech, think it was same as Chimera. Roof slips into boot no problem, 99% of time doesn't pull seal out. I find when the seal does pop out. If you hold the seal tight in the middle and pull along its axis, as it reduces in cross sectional area, it just pops back in and returns to it original length quit easily.
Hilti.

Nope I already have the leven bag. this is the seal that sits on the door at the end of the window.
How easy is it to get the roof into and out of the Leven bag? I remember it was a nightmarishly tight fit with my Chimaera roof so I never used it after the first attempt
