Looking at BMW X5s, seen 2, very similar spec. One is 2 years younger, same shape/model (2012 vs 2010) and 15k less miles (59k vs 74k). £3k price difference. In terms of risk of repairs/resale/depreciation do you think it will make much difference over 3-4 years, that’s when we’re likely to change it? (Likely to do ~10k Miles p/a).

So they are pretty much the same as 2 yrs and 15k is nothing.

On an older car like that condition and history is everything.

I'd say unless you're going to pile on the miles, the mileage difference is just about small enough not to be the biggest factor, receipts & condition are the big key factors when looking at these two.
