Where to go (shedding)
Discussion
Hi,
I currently drive mk1 2004 1.8 petrol Focus as a daily. I've had the car for 4 years now and it's been absolutely faultless (bar new alternator). However, it started rotting badly, clutch is on its last legs, belts need changing and there are other things that would need addressing. I love how the car drives and feels for ordinary old car.
What should replace the focus? I live in Prague, would be buying the car in Germany or Netherlands.
Criteria are:
- price equivalent of 1 - 2 grand
- slightly bigger or similar size
- folding rear seats (for skis and bikes)
- petrol and manual
- nice to drive
- reliable and rustproof
- doesn't have to be rocket fast
I was thinking about petrol powered facelifted mondeo mk3 2.0, e46s, 5 cyl. volvo s60, 7G accords.
Do you have any other ideas?
Cheers!
