1992 Mazda Eunos Roadster Heap
Discussion
Thought i'd share my latest purchase, an imacculate 1991 Mazda Eunos Roadster.
Jokes, the body work maybe the worst ive ever seen on a car (that has a valid MOT) however it does have some tasty bits:
• Mk 2.5 Torsen LSD fitted with Shafts and Prop to suit (running KAAZ LSD Oil)
• Tein Street Basis Coilovers (fitted a few months ago)
• Whiteline 22mm Front and 16mm Rear Adjustable Sway-bars (fitted a few months ago)
• HKS Mushroom Filter
• PIAA Glass Headlamps
• Cusco offset front Number Plate Mount (fitted a few months ago)
• Nankang NS2R Front Tyres (fitted a few months ago)
• Blue Rays Valves and Nuts on the front (fitted a few months ago)
• eBay Ducktail Boot Spoiler
• Powerflex Black Series Diff Mount Void Bushes
• Random noisy stainless backbox, (came on the Car, now fitted with eBay silencer bung)
• Tomei Delrin Shift Knob (fitted a few months ago)
• Genuine Mazda Floor Mats (fitted a few months ago)
• Hand Held Fire Extinguisher
• Standard MOMO Steering Wheel
• LG CD Player with Auxiliary input
• Foxguard Immobiliser with Fob
Rattle can spray job etc, A/C stripped out, converted to manual windows, roof leaks etc.
It was purchased as I have a track day at croft booked next month, and it was either insure my M140i for over £200, I buy this for not that much more and sell it after. Its had so much attention already, people seem to love it! I may end up keeping it
So far ive spent a fiver on a rattle can to cover up the chips etc, now it looks like its woth at least 20p more!

The cat fell out the 2nd day I owned it, currently looking for a cheap welder!

Looks like a good start for a project. What work has the engine had?
Whereabouts are you? Some kind soul of PH might weld it back up for you.
I think just a catback exhaust, manifold looks fancy but not sure if thats just standard? And the filter too. Does seem to pull very strong though!Whereabouts are you? Some kind soul of PH might weld it back up for you.
Im in Leeds, more than happy to pay, just dont want to be ripped off and spend more than what the cars worth!

To confirm, that’s just a standard manifold but with the heat shield removed.
Ah, that'd be why I don't recognise it, I never took the heat shield off mine... I just assumed it was a cheap cast log manifold. As far as the temps and inlet go, I wouldn't spend anything to change it - the standard plastic setup doesn't quite clear those strut braces (or it didn't on my 1.8), so you have to leave a bit off anyway.
I used to run a similar setup of cone + tubular manifold on another car and could never tell the difference even in traffic on a hot day, and that was with the radiator right next to it all. Maybe if you were expecting perfect, full-power pickup every time you'd notice, but as a car for track/road driving it wasn't noticeable.

As I have the intakes just below the headlights, I leave the lights up for extra cooling - although i know this causes drag so its a lose lose!As far as the temps and inlet go, I wouldn't spend anything to change it - the standard plastic setup doesn't quite clear those strut braces (or it didn't on my 1.8), so you have to leave a bit off anyway.
