Faulty Seat Runners?
Discussion
Has happened a few times now, go to accelerate and the drivers seat shoots right back leaving me with nothing to push (brake or accelerator)as I cannot reach.
Have already had the seat out to see if something was not correct but could find nothing, anyone else had the same problem?
Only cure would be to grow an extra foot or possible a new runner.

Exactly the same as mine.
Glad it was not just me, I had the seat out and raised on 1/4" washers just in case it was hitting on the carpet but no luck.
Had a good look at the mechanism, return springs etc and all seem O.K., only slips back when it has been adjusted and then under considerable load, i.e. accelerating (I am just under 11 stone so not a heavyweight). Does not do it the first time either.
Will book mine in asap as the warranty only has 4 weeks.

Had this on mine when I had it ... it's the runners. Mine were replaced under warranty ... but it does frighten the bejeesus out of you when it happens. I wedged a rolled up towel behind the seat to stop it until they were replaced .... that works. I heard TVR were to supply a towel as standard but they must have changed their minds!!

That sounds really scarey!!!! I'd get the runners looked at and fixed as a matter of urgency! Never heard of that one before!
