Oxford Stormex has held up well for nearly 3 years, but starting to look tatty. Some here on PH reckon they're crap, but mine has been fine apart from cat piss & the seam tape is starting to come off.....

These are good, not cheap but tough and good. The Alfa is the one to go for.

I have a cover from Specialised Covers. It’s the stormsheild+ cover and I’m impressed with the quality. Nowhere near the cheapest but the best I’ve had. The Oxford ones I’ve had in the past seem to get ripped or torn pretty easily, but this is a really heavy duty material with a soft fleece like lining.

Had mine 7 years, still fine - obviously doesn't look like new as its sat outside protecting my bike 365 days a year, on & off the bike twice a day, its done a good job!

I've an Oxford Stormex. It's about 2 years old and has been ok, though being near the sea the salty air climate has made the seam tape disintegrate, so mine is more gaffer tape than it is cover. But it seems to keep most of the Irish rain off the bike so I'll probably squeeze a 3rd year out of it.

I bought a JDC one for about £60-70 last summer. Obviously no idea on longevity yet but it's fine so far, totally waterproof and has velcro vents in the handlebar area to vent the condensation away. It's quite heavy and definitely not something you could fold up and put in your top box if that's what you need, but this seems to be because it's pretty heavy duty. I just chuck mine in the shed every morning smile

I've used JDC for a few years. My first one got some tears in it after 3 years - but where the bike is parked at home is in full sun, so over the summer the cover gets a battering from the UV. I'd say, though, it was still performing well and was much better than the two oxford ones that both lasted under a year.

I bought another JDC to relace, this time a lighter one. The heavy duty ones are good but a bit heavy and dont fold up as small! Anyway, recommend them, the covers are tailored to bit the general contours of a bike, rahter than the Xoford ones which are ill-thought out.
