...Something saucy is probably an exaggeration. but basically economy isn't top of the list for a car or SUV for work, as my fuel is covered by work. So something that's half reliable and with a nice amount of toys, comfortable and has some shove behind it. I think a V6/V8 barge of some sort - although within this price bracket I appreciate i'll be in the risky areas of the market and will no doubt likely find a few dogs which I don't mind tidying up myself within reason.

It's dawned on me how much mileage I'm doing in my E63s so I'm considering a second car, to ease the miles I'm racking up in the E .I've done this before with my C63 and running an E60 530d... wish I kept the 530d because for work it was just perfect - I'm looking at others but fancy a change now that I've had one.

Mileage isn't a concern, as whatever car I have I will probably use till it dies or near enough - so condition and history would probably be a better place to concentrate on. I like big cars with good spec, smallest i'd like is a 5 series.

Any suggestions? open to the usual PH left field answers!

Jag XJ or Lexus LS would probably be my pick if wanting some sort of V8 wafting machine.

Rover 75 V6 (or a V8 if you can find one - possibly out of budget)

S-Type Jaguar? (Not sure if you'd get a V8 in budget, but a 3 litre or a diesel should be).

SAAB 9-3 2.8 V6 Aero. Can be remapped to over 310bhp / 500Nm as well for extra giggles.

I have to say the Jag S Type R would be my first pick, CLK500 second & the GS430 third.
