Porsche Cayman (981) or Jaguar F Type

Hi there.

I’m in my 20’s and I’m looking to purchase my first real sports car. Both the Porsche Cayman and Jaguar F Type are in my budget (both around 2014 plate).

I’m torn between them! I’m not fussed about boot space or anything like that. What do you guys think and why?

Cheapest i8 is £15-20k more expensive than the cars mentioned.

Depend what you value more.

F-Type gives better sound, looks (arguably) and less weight over the rear wheels gives oversteer on demand and has a slushbox auto.

Cayman is much more of a sports car with a great manual gearbox, much lighter weight and mid-engined handling.
