Hi
I have these 'Orange Banded' injectors fitted to my car Marked D3183GB [ see photo] - I beliieve the Fuel rail is 'K' Series though I can't find any 'Orange' K series injectors mentioned anywhere? Engine is a 2 litre Zetec on TB's.
They've been on my car for 16 years and I was wondering whether it would be worth checking/Replacing them - car feels wooly but maybe that's because I've become well familiar with it's performancesmile
Can Anyone ID them and give me the specs etc. & Fuel flow rates CC's
Is it possible to check them at home with normal garage tools ?

A quick google reveals these are Rover (Genuine OE) and available on ebay for £29.95 :P

Listings also suggest 2 litre T series rather than K but maybe for K too.

Quite possible, if you have basic electrical skills and trust yourself to work with fuel under pressure. The only remotely tricky part is getting a variable duty cycle square wave generator capable of handling however much your injectors take (typically about an Amp). I got mine from one of those scientific suppliers for a few quid. Just be aware that the high pressure fuel supply and the spray from the injector both need to be fully enclosed and have at least two vapour barriers between them and anything electrical.

On the other hand, it doesn't cost much to get a set of injectors cleaned, serviced and tested. There are places that will do it by mail order with a pretty quick turnaround.

Thanks for the replies - yep Rover 'T' series seem like the correct ones, good to know they're still available new - does anyone know how long/how frequently Injectors need changing?
Can't find any info on this subject - other than a reference to a 'Billion' cycles?

How long is the piece of string?

But generally, most cars will never have an injector changed in their lifetime.
