Anyone know what’s happening with the hole left where the cupholder unit was.

Just looks like a bare hole thar needs a finishing cover or plate of sorts?

If it is now designated a storage bin it would be better to have a removable one with a good finish like the design of the ‘missing’ cupholder.

Cup holders in the Vantage were a waste of time, cant believe Porsche have now cocked this feature up too having had just about the best in the industry.

It comes with a plastic insert that’s about the same size as the hole it goes into but does prevent you hitting the parking brake accidentally (which actually turns into an emergency stop button when moving).

The good news is the resulting cubby hole is about the right size to hold a medium latte from Starbucks thankfully!

This must be the first ever safety recall of a cupholder

As well as going from the world's best designed cupholder to the worst in a single generation.

Mine was actually delivered with no insert!
All is good now as I queried this with the Dealer snd they gave me one straight away.
Advice to any early purchaser is that there is an insert and to make sure you have it.

In addition to the cup holder, anyone having issues with the door handles? Either refusal to open or refusal to close?

Yep. I have entry and drive and it dont seem to work first time, its only when you have opened it and closed it decides to work.

Mine did that last night and it doesn't have entry and drive..I had to lock it again and then unlock it.. I don't miss the cupholder in the center as i never drink coffee when driving and a plastic water bottle sits in the cubby as it is..

This is what I was referring to. Mine was like yours but there is an insert as shown

It's a ste solution when compared to the elegance of the 997/991 "out of dash" jobbies .... mad Must be the Americans fault. They're always cremating sports cars for not being able to take a gallon bucket of some hideous soft drink ..... mad

Your post would be hilarious if it wasn't the sad truth.
