I have run these for a1000 miles now. In an earlier thread I was a bit less than complimentary about them. Now I am pushing them a bit i have no issue with grip, they just feel a bit soft. The best way I can describe it is as if the spring is not set firm enough. I had no issues with previous set of Pirellis. I am thinking it is tyre wall flexing. Does any one else have this and any advice on pressures, road only.
Fireblade. Style I would say aggressive. Have only ever run Super Corsas. But these are proving impractical for the amount of touring I am now doing. Thought RS would be the ideal compromise. I am sure there is nothing wrong with tyres and I should persevere with them and only issues is they are not super Corsas.. or they are not the tyres the publicity would suggest.
I've run various Michelins over the years, always 36F/42R and find I need to set the suspension a bit stiffer to work them a bit harder to get the best out of them.
That said there are far too many variables to give a definitive answer, riders weight, bikes weight, riding style, engine power delivery, suspension setup all make a huge difference to how a tyre will work. What works for me would probably feel bloody awful for you.
