How do Councils, which I assume should know what they are doing, get things so wrong?



Note, this is the ONLY access to the lorry/coach park.

Stafford BC are not a highway authority, so it's not public highway and therefore they can put up whatever sign they want as it doesn't have to comply with the Road Traffic Act etc.

Looks like somebody in the parking department has imaginatively used the No Vehicles sign to mean no cars or motorbikes.

Assuming that Local Government knows what its doing is a very risky assumption - there is way more making it up as you go along that most would ever imagine!

All they need to have done was put the word 'Only' under 'Coach Park'.

My local Sainsbury's has a dead end road leading to the motorcycle parking with no entry signs at the entrance...
