For those who may be interested in visiting France this summer, we’re on route to the wine Festival this weekend in St Emilion. Landed in Cherbourg from Poole, first stopover was Huttopia Lac de Sille, in order to pop into Le Mans museum (parking available at the rear of the museum) Next was Le Park du Val de Loire, a large family friendly site with modern shower block etc. Huttopia Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne was next, overlooking the Dordogne river, could have stayed much longer, very pleasant. We’re currently at a family run site called Le Port de Limeuil, could not have made us more welcome, good cycling routes. The owner has a beautiful 3.8 E Type. Best pizza I’ve tasted in ages made in the cafe. Tomorrow heading to Saint-Emilion to sample some of the best wines in France. Then loop back up over a few days to Cherbourg. Great easy roads, no hassle, highly recommend. Peak summer of course is very much busier.
