My elderly mother had a card put through her door which looked handwritten and just said “phone John” and a mobile number. Her son in law is called John so she was a bit concerned, but it turned out to be a double glazing co.

I always google an unknown number before dialling.

I wonder if this kind of marketing actually works? It turns me off a company completely.
