Hang on - you made cheese and tomato bread, then wondered why a marmite and banana sandwich tasted funny...?

That would be like spreading marmite and banana on to a margarita pizza, wouldn't it?

Got to say I quite like (and often have for breakfast) peanut butter and banana on toast. Mmmm smile

My mother-in-law suggested having Brie and Banana sandwiches last weekend. Brie and grape yes but banana just sounds completely wrong to me.

The only sandwiches involving banana are plain banana or with chocolate spread and on plain bread. Would really only take these though if out on a long hike as they provide a lot of energy. Prefer savoury sarnies otherwise.

I did look for the peanut butter but it was nearly 2 years out of date.

I read somewhere the other day that Banana Marmite and lettuce sandwiches is the ideal combo for a good nights sleep - glad I tried it now and not for my supper rofl

Got some President Brie in the fridge so may try that later but not wasting my home bread this time.

Has anyone tried the marmite peanut butter? I got a jar last week and had it on crumpets for breakfast. A bit of a weird combination at first, but it was alright.

It isn't smooth peanut butter, theres chunks of peanut in it, and they were at the top when i opened the jar, you have to stir it up first because it doesn't have palm oil in it.
