Hi guys,

I'm a long time PH member but new to Porsche. I've just bought a GT3 and literally collected it today. It's a late 2014 car with 5k miles.

It's seriously impressive but I'm a little surprised by the cabin noise and what sounds like engine rattling noise.

Is there anyone local to Leigh on sea with a gt3 that I can can compare notes with ?

Or if anyone can talk from experience it would be appreciated..

Its normal for a rattling noise at idle or driving slowly particularly when the engine is warming up. It is to do with the lightweight flywheel. As soon as you accelerate / put load on it, it quietens down. If you have this, it is normal and a characteristic of the GT3. Enjoy!

Congrats on the car dontt be shy with the pictures
Club sport ?
Yes these noises are normal sounds and the roll cage makes a pinging noise as well a bit like the pinking noise old cars made when timing was out
Enjoy your car
What car did you have before ?

Thanks all. I feel a bit more comfortable now.

Not club sport which at first I wasn't sure about but having sat in bad traffic yesterday and just driving the car the buckets and cage wouldn't have made any difference to me personally.

I'm coming from a c63 amg which is completely different but I loved that car and the noise. I was worried about the lack of drama and noise in the porsche but now I get what all the hype was about ??

red I'll message you separately if that's ok. Cheers
