Motorcycle Parking at Guildford Railway Station. Does anybody know if it's free? If not, can it be paid for by card?

As usual with motorcycle parking, I'm struggling to find specific information on what the arrangements are...

You can park in the Bedford Road multistorey in the motorcycle bays on the first floor near the exit for free.

It is 2 minutes walk from train station if that helps.

Yes, that's useful to know, thanks.

I tried the Bedford Road car park first thing yesterday morning. However, because I was there quite early, there was a complete absence of bikes and absolutely no sign posts for motorcycle parking. The car park was a fking dump too. I couldn't find the designated motorcycle spaces.

I ended up just riding out of the car park and headed to the station instead where at least I could see where the motorcycle parking was. There, I was charged the same rate as cars (not sure why considering bikes take up significantly less space). Luckily, because it was Sunday, it was only £2.00 and I was able to pay over the phone. I begrudge paying £2.00 though, to park in bloody Guildford when I can park in central London and other premium spots such as Heathrow Airport for free!

I subsequently found an Excel with the location of the motorcycle bays in the Bedford Road car park and other locations. It may come in handy for anybody doing a Google search of Guildford motorcycle parking in the future:

rofl

Nice to see it hasn't changed in the past 10 years. There aren't any marked bays if I recall but bikes parked by the railings near the pedestrian exit on level 1 nearest the high street.
