Looking to replace swmbo’s current Evoque when it comes to the end of its lease and looking at cheaper options while we do some house improvements. She likes the look (and badge) of the X6 - looking at 2013/2014 models - anything particular you need to look out for specific to the X6?

Thanks in advance

A good look in the mirror. Horrid things, but if she likes it I can’t see you talking her out of it unless she sees something else she likes.

I had one for a year, expect aholes to tell you it’s ugly on the internet, apparently it’s pointless because it’s a different shape to the X5.
Mine was the 40d so went well, handled like a big BMW 4x4 and was comfortable over distance.

I’d make sure it has at least a rear camera, or better still cameras all round, rear visibility is pretty bad.
The centre rear seat was an option, some had a tray thing instead.

Otherwise just the usual BMW diesel stuff for that age.

I’d happily have another one.

Lol, you were beaten to it. 😂😂 thanks for the tips, she prefers it to the more common X5 as at least it’s a bit different

I had one as a courtesy car for a day and didn't get on with it. It didn't handle like a car and didn't have the space of an SUV. Felt like it had no purpose other than to visually upset other drivers. Felt cramped.

I had one from new for 4 years in 2014.

It was faultless. Not a single thing went wrong in 4 years and 70k miles.

Loved it.

I don't understand the criticism these get

Far worse cars out there.

I don't have a problem with the looks either
