what are you running at the moment? the michelin pilot sports? i'm umming and erring about changing too, but depending on who i speak to i get different stories. sadly the best prices i have come up with are from kwik fit.... bracknell tyre and battery are always good on price too.

have you been doing any due diligence on pads and discs too? i'd be interested in knowing your thoughts in that dept... i need more ideas to mix into my boiling pot of confusion...

Speak to Dave Blackely at Elite Garages (sorry dont have number) in Hawsham.

Tell him you are one of the Titanic lot and he will help you out.

You do not want the Corsa system you want the track version (often refered to as the R even though there is no such thing) These tyres have transformed the car and bizarley have also improved the ride comfort on the road!?!

Run them at 2.1 bar hot seems to be the right pressure.

As for brakes (just read the other part of your post) a lot of guys have moved to the Brembo or Alcan front disks.

Cost is about £1Kish initially but after that is greatly reduced as you only buy the disk not the hat. Looking at the cars that came back from Spa these seem to be the best option as after 2-3 days hard use there is little sign of wear.

Parr or JZ can help you out.
