Hi Guys,

First posting to the forum so apologises for the bland subject matter.

Are any Superleggera owners using a child seat in the rear for a kid around 6 years old? If so do they have much leg room? Is a child in the rear a comfortable viable option?

Thanks in advance.

I’m pretty sure the DBSS has identical interior dimensions to the DB11, so hopefully a DB11 owner (of which of course there are many more) may be along to help....

I have a Vanquish S Volante and my 6 & 8 year olds fit perfectly in the rear, no child seat required. Seat belts perfectly across their chests.

I have a DB9 - not at spectacular as a DBS but I believe the back seating is of a similar size.

My 6 year old fits fine without the need for any seat. In fact my wife explained that the seat belt fits fine and she is locked into those seats. My 10 year old.... well that is a different matter, she doesn't fit and bemoans me anytime I try to be cool and collect her from school. She is OK if it's just me, but if my wife is with me then she has to get in the back. She's no fan of that at all.

I think the DBS is isofix but not sure if this includes the rear, dont know if there would be enough room. That said I know you could buy a rear child seat for Vanquish so I assume there must be available for DB11/S....

Thanks for all the replies.

Where I live it is law that a child seat is fitted so I don't have the option of not having one. Sadly I am just not sure there is adequate room for a child seat and a 6 year old.

Is a booster seat acceptable? If so I will go try with my 6 yro.

Thanks that would be very kind indeed!

I suppose the main query is the amount of legroom for a child with the passenger seat positioned for my wife who is 5ft 3in (160cm).

May I ask how much leg space you have between the end of the rear seat and the back of the front seat?

Thanks.

OK.

I'm assuming you are talking Coupe and I'm fairly sure DBSS has more rear space than Coupe Vanquish.

I'm almost certain Coupe also has more headroom than Volante. Perhaps someone else can confirm.

With the booster my very tall 6 yro can just fit from a headroom point of view but has plenty of legroom with the passenger seat all the way forward. And even all the way forward I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of room for your wife.

Not sure where you are based but I would pop along with the whole family, booster seat and give it a go.

Good luck.

Thanks for that.

Yes it is the coupe I am considering. The dealer is a flight away so not too easy to get everyone and seat over to have a check. But I know what you mean - it is probably the only safe option.

Our children are six and four, we have a pair of Mifold's in the back of our Vanquish, prior to turning four our youngest sat on a Trunki Boostapak; I bought the car after their third birthday so I've never tried a child seat back in the back. They're both very happy in the rear, realistically I think they'd be comfortable in the back till our oldest is maybe ten/eleven, the limitations are more leg room than anything else.
