E64 Refinement with hood up - any owners here?

Morning,

I'm currently thinking/mulling over future car options, and am quite keen as a 4 seater convertible as my daily drive. As such I was wondering how the 6 series is with the hood up? - as it will also be doing some long motorway/continental tips and the wet/damp/cold UK winter.

I've been in some fairly long trips around Scotland in my pals 650i and it's been absolutely fine; driven through glorious weather (air con on and less midghes ) lashing sideways rain, blowing a hoolie etc, never any issues

Their hoods are well made and certainly not a flapper like an old MG hood haha

Never driven an E63 to compare directly against but my E64 is plenty refined enough for me - absolutely watertight, can talk to front seat passenger without having to raise my voice etc

Would I consider it refined enough to be used as a daily driver - absolutely no problem whatsoever
