1.8 vx 8 valve compression

does anybody know what the acceptable cylinder compression PSI on a vx sohc 8 valve Caterham engine should be?

ive got 170/175 on all cylinders..throttles wide open! which sounds good to me but like to hear from somebody that knows.

was thinking of a top end overhaul for the winter project but not sure it needs it now.

I can't answer the question, but the received wisdom is that if they are all the same, then they are probably ok.

I think that doing a leakdown test might be a better test of bore/ring/valve wear though.
