On my way back from the Le Mans Classic, on pressing the light switch, it disappeared through the dashboard with the switches alongside, and taking the Voltmeter with it!

I took the dashboard out yesterday, and it is apparent that this has been repaired (badly) before, so I plan to fix it properly. A couple of the lugs that were glued to the dashboard to hold the voltmeter and clock have been lost. Any idea about where I can get these from, or how else to go about securing the meters?

While I have the dash out, I will improve the dim illumination of the speedo and rev counter. None of Halfords and the various other car spares merchants seems to sell green capless bulbs, although I assume these can be sourced at TVR dealers - at a cost - so I plan to buy bulb paint from www.glasspaintingmaterials.co.uk/ and use standard bulbs painted green. Has anyone tried this?

According to a main dealer mechanic, the Heath Robinson effect at the back of the dashboard is standard fitment and may not be a previously botched repair!

Bought some blue capless blubs for my Griff last year. Got them in my local "Motorist Centre", they were on the shelf with the boy-racer bits, rather than with the other bulbs.
Looks cool with white dials lit blue at night, easier on the eyes too.
