Amazon from USA

Looking at getting a film scanner from Amazon ,and the only ones are from the US with free shipping.

It doesn't mention anything about customs and inport charges

I dont fancy getting screwed by HMRC as i could get a diffrent model in the uk woth out all the possible hassle

Has anyone bought stuff through Amazon that has been priced in dollars and comes from the US?

I got a laptop but it was sold under the global shipping program where essentially I prepaid all of the fees.

I've only bought DVDs from the US - both from Amazon and other companies - all the fees were included in the total price.

Buying the goods is the same as buying from amazon.co.uk. Paying the extra is simple enough - you do it online and arrange a delivery date.

Getting Royal Fail to actually deliver the goods is another matter entirely.
