In summary - here's my spec.
- Almond Green (Aston Racing Green)
- Parliament Green Leather
- Sports seats - Sandstorm
- Contrast stitch
- Full alcantara flat bottom steering wheel
- Cream alcantara headlining
- Stitched Aston Wings into the headrest
- Smoked/Clear Rear Lenses
- Carbon exterior sills and carbon diffuser
- Painted side gill - non perforated
- Carbon inlay on the central console with anodised dark metal for the vent and dial surrounds
- Carbon inlay on the door cards by the arm rest
- DB10 rotary wheels (although I really wanted the wheel design that is no longer available)
- Chrome window surrounds - went backwards and forwards with Black - but I tried to keep this as close a match to the V12 as possible.
- Painted roof
- Painted mirror caps
Hoping it should look something similar to this.
I had Carplay fitted to my 06 Vantage by Aston Installations.
Basically everything runs off a wheel. Twist to scroll around the screen & push to select or push & hold for Siri. Once you get the hang of it, it works well.
Only issue is that you might be in Waze and want to change a track on Spotify. That means navigating all the way back to Spotify from Waze. Not the end of the world, and probably the only real disadvantage of it not being touch screen. Having said that just discovered you can use Siri to advance tracks without exiting the app on the screen!

Isn't the Merc infotainment blah blah on the new AMs based on the last-gen system and pre-dates CarPlay? So, bizarrely, the 'old' AMi iii system is in some ways better than the new infotainment on the new Vantage, DB11, DBSS etc.? Or am I wrong?
Still struggling with the AM price to upgrade AMi ii to iii on my 2016 V12VS.

I'm sure I read a tweet that the MY 2020 Vantage refresh will include an infotainment upgrade as the deal with Mercedes was for a generation behind their tech and they've upgraded their system, so Apple Carplay should be in the the 2020 Aston's along with other improvements. If you're not in a rush to get the car I'd be inclined to wait, if I'm right.

There are better ways to spend 4k, either on the car or otherwise, I’m sure. But I don’t regret it for a second.
Having a choice of three satnavs is a nice novelty. But being able to navigate Spotify, Apple Music, podcasts, internet radio and audio books from the dash is excellent. And being able (4g signal permitting) to play the audio track of a tv broadcast is handy for sports events.
