I am after some help if possible on any difference the size of a replacement radiator I have received which is slightly different to the rad I pulled off the bike (gsx650f), I ride quite sedately and more often than not don't really go above 9-10krpm (redline 14.5k) would this slight difference is size be fine on the cooling system given my riding style, or does anyone have recommendations for a tried and tested recore company close to south london as I don't want to spend the near £700 Suzuki want to shaft me for an oem radiator

Original is 380mm(W) x 185mm(H) x 25mm(T) core and 2 x 40mm wide end tank, the replacement that was sent to me is 360mm x 180mm x 25mm with 2 x 35mm end tanks.

That's an 8% reduction in area, and the assumption is that the total surface area of the fins (which often are more loosely packed in cheaper pattern parts) is the same. In the UK, even if I was tracking the st out of it, I really would not give a st personally.

Just think of how much the cooling functionality of a radiator naturally degrades over time after the fins get all bent and it's full of bugs, stones and corrosion. Seems fair to speculate it's within tolerance for your riding.

If the mounting points and hoses fit I'd not worry about it.

Was a replacement from a scrapper an option?

I'm sure that will be fine, no matter how hard you are wanting to ride the bike in the real world, trackdays etc.
It wouldn't worry me in the slightest.

Mounting points and hoses look like they will fit fine, most of the second hand rads that I have found have the same sort of damage starting with regards to missing fins and tubes starting to bulge

@dogstar and Prof I was leaning in the direction of just fitting and getting on with it as I didn't see a difference of about 60ml less cooling fluid as being that big of a deal

@Tango Thanks for that will give them a call and see what they can do before I decide
