How much to paint a couple of panels?

I'm going to look at.a Toyota Aygo for my daughter thats had a door and rear quarter respray that's a poor match, and the price more than reflects that.

What's it going to cost to get the panels repainted?

My local place - who are pretty damn good - are £300 a panel for a spray.

Depends where you take it I suppose.
£100 per panel up to £500 per panel.
How good a finish do you want or expect?
Are the panels full of poorly applied filler and need re working or is it just poor finish?

Trade price for a reasonable job is circa £125 / panel assuming nothing's hidden under the current paint.

The original spray looks fine, it's just the colour match that's off. The car is about 1k less than it would normally be, so if I could get the panels repainted for 4-500 I would be happy.

What's the colour?
If it's a 5 door & the rear door has been completely painted then expect to go into the front door as well to blend.
Might be simpler to have the whole side resprayed.

My local place charges £300 per panel.

A slightly better local place charges £400

Both ex VAT (as if they pay it !!)

Its a 3 door, and it's a mid blue metallic colour

The side will need painting in that case.
The only way to know how much it's going to cost is to visit a few bodyshops in your area.
Prices vary considerably across the country

I would charge £400+VAT for that, assuming there is no major additional repair work to do. That would be done to at least “as good as new” standard.
