Many thanks.
Ex sunbeam lotus owner here.... just checking in
Good luck with the search, starting to wish I hadn’t sold mine as it’s a driving experience like few others, with oversteer on tap at low speeds and a most fabulous noise with the airbox removed. Mine had a skip brown road speed conversion and was a fabulous thing.

Looks lovely. I wonder if 52Y is still around, that was owned by the late Derek Simpson, who was pretty much the first person to have a 'show standard' Lotus-Sunbeam back in the late 80's, even though it was only a 4/5 year old car at the time

Here it is next to my car outside the garage that originally sold it a few years back.

I think Derek's old car might have been 56Y then, not 52Y...?
Haven't got access to any old photos at the moment to check.
I've got a photo of my old car with Leon standing next to it, taken at the old Arbury SS building, from when I visited him back in 1988, as well as a photo taken later on the same day, of my car parked next to Des O'Dell's 309GTi outside his office at the old works rally HQ at the Humber Road factory when I paid a visit to see Des.
