Engines without cars suggest something very bad happened to that car. Expensive risk to take IMO without seeing it for yourself.
It doesn't take much to write off a TVR and make an engine availablehttps://vimeo.com/45064671

No crank nose. Is this how the early non-AC engines come? I'd thought it was only the race engines that had the front cover blanked off like this.
I'd wondered about that, but its a wet sumped engine with the Cerbera triple pump setup. I thought the Tuscan Challenge engines were dry sumped with a different pump set up. Might well be wrong though.ukkid35 said:

I emailed the seller yesterday morning to see if the engine would turn over, no response as yet. Hmm.
If it does it should be possible to do a compression check too, all you need is the bellhousing/starter/battery
Can't see why a vendor would object to that

HI All
We are the couple advertising the early 4.2L AJP engine on ebay.
We bought our 4.5L Cerbera over two year ago and didn't realise the leaky water pump and head gaskets would mean the engine would have to be removed and rebuilt.
We toyed with the idea of a 4.7L conversion but now have decided against it hence we selling the engine we bought for that purpose.
Given the questions and feedback we received, it seem the best way forward is to strip and break the engine for parts. We will probably start the process during the winter.
As for our Cerbera, we are just waiting until there is enough money in the piggy bank.
