Having awoken the car from its hibernation, when I exceed 45/50 mph the TC emblem illuminates and the car goes into low power, if I switch the TC off normal power is returned. I had new front tyres fitted over winter will the car need resetting?
Also to add insult to injury the key fob low battery warning has come on, is it a straight forward job to replace the fob battery as I have read that it will need to be re coded?

Are your new tyres a different profile to standard, ie, has the circumference increased? That would make the relative wheels speeds different from the factory settings, which would induce traction control as per your symptom.

Easy jop to replace battery. Instructions in the car manual.

Thanks for that, I've changed the fob battery, no problem, the tyre issue is puzzling, the rear tyres are 30 profile not 35 as recommended, unfortunately I never checked the profile on the old front tyres maybe they were also a lower profile.
New rear tyres sound like the way forward.

Different F/R profiles probably result in different circumference (depending on other factors). Wheel speed sensors then detect the rears spinning faster, which looks like wheel spin to the traction control.

New rear tyres sorted that problem, let's see what other things can go wrong!!!!!!
