Interior wraps

Anyone got an experience with interior wraps? I see people selling them and a few YouTube videos where they look deceptively easy to apply.

I'm just thinking about covering some of the cheap looking plastic in a Kia. Maybe with something soft or a bit of wood effect, if it looks decent. Not sure where I could go to look at it in person, maybe there are some local places that install it.
