Hope I described that adequately.

I'm going to renew the pipe from the clutch master cylinder that goes above the pedal box to the junction block on the drivers left hand side in the footwell.

I don't want to cut off the old one but want to pop down to the fitting shop tomorrow morning if at all possible and buy the correct fittings so I can make up a new pipe.

This isn't the fitting that screws into the clutch master cylinder although for all I know it may be the same, it is at the other end of the pipe.

Any ideas?

The aluminium manifold in the side wall of the tunnel uses all imperial threads. The clutch is a larger diameter pipe than the brakes (1/4").
Can't remember off hand what the size is but can say the thread will be UNF and the hex is 1/2" across flats.

Thanks guys.

I was going to go to the hydraulic pipe people tomorrow and have a line made up but will wait for the definitive answer if at all possible.

I have plenty to get on with, I've just had my clutch returned from Mcleod who have completely rebuilt the pressure plate, (allegedly but it actually looks like a new one) which has always been heavy and shouldn't of been, so I'm very interested to see what the finished result is when it's all assembled!

Out of interest, after paying for the repair/replacement on Tuesday at 9 pm it's arrived from Anaheim, California at 12 midday on Wednesday, how do they do that!

To save any doubt as to the correct size and thread type TVR Parts sell this pipe ready made.

Thank you very much for that!

Shame I didn't realise earlier in the week as I had a delivery of a new clutch master cylinder from them.

Just about to start fitting my twin plate clutch, gearbox et cetera so plenty to do today, busy tomorrow so if it is delivered possibly on Monday or Tuesday that will be fine.

In light of that I'll take back my M12 suggestion and go for 7/16" unf (20tpi) x 1/4" bore wink

Just checked in the fittings box and yes that is right.

PS Puzzled as to why this pipe needs replacing.

Steve. I removed this pipe cut off the fittings and made a new pipes to run to the servo that is in my offside inner wing.

Since then McLeod who I sent my clutch to because it's always been super heavy have sent me a new one and said that it should be lighter than standard, I'm just about to fit the clutch assembly and thought that I would try it without the survo first because if that works then it is preferable to take the servo out of the system.

At this stage I will leave the servo pipework in situ in case the clutch is still heavy and I want to use the servo system.

There is a reason for everything, even if it's the wrong reason!

Simple test will be to disconnect (or clamp) the vacuum supply to the servo then the clutch will work as normal. Saves having to mess with pipes and bleeding etc.

A simple pipe clamp on the vac hose will allow you to try with or without servo very quickly.
