What would you buy for this daily trip?

Friend is looking to spend 6k for a larger car /estate and as always I ask the collective on here!

Mileage is only 25miles a day on the motorway, so I'm unsure on if petrol or diesel would be best, they like the odd long road trip and adventure.

He's quite into his automotive gems so needs something that obviously isn't struggling to overtake but has little in terms of going wrong.

I've mentioned
330i touring n52
Superb estate 170 CR
Octavia saloon/estate both p&d
Mondeo 2.5 estate

Am I missing any others and what would you go for and why?

Yep, the mondeo will be the best bet

Only issue is the liner cracking with these? How common is it? And I presume quite a big thing to get fixed?

The Liner issue affected highly tuned cars it's not a common issue.
