What car currently in the classifieds/eBay would you buy to drive from the south of England up to Scotland to do the North Coast 500.

I had to google the NC 500 just to see what it was all about. I assume you're cycling it?

On PH and not heard of the 500? Is that why you picked the wrong car for the job?

CLK500 would be good for the drive up but awful on the tiny roads on much of the 500.

Small roadster or a small hatchback is the ideal weapon on these roads.

That's why i opted for the clio trophy however you'd get a nicely sorted mini cooper s for 5k with upgraded pulley for more torque than the clio trophy .

Something small you can chuck in a hedge or squeeze into a passing place is going to really useful on the single track roads.
